ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hybrid Paid Media Associate to support Barron’s Group (Barron’s and MarketWatch). This new hire will report to the Associate Director, Paid Media, Barron’s Group, and work in our midtown Manhattan office three days each week.
This role focuses on driving new subscribers for Barron’s & MarketWatch by supporting the Barron’s Group Paid Media team from strategic planning, execution, optimization, and analysis of digital marketing campaigns globally. The ideal candidate will have experience building performance-driven campaigns on platforms including, but not limited to, Google, Bing, Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Snapchat.
YOU WILL
Execute, manage, and optimize media campaigns and programs for Barron’s and MarketWatch both independently and in support of managers.
Handle daily campaign maintenance and optimizations including audience updates, budget pacing, and creative flips.
Run the campaign QA process to ensure accurate implementation and pacing.
Regularly report on campaign performance to cross-functional teams and answer internal questions regarding their status and performance.
Collaborate closely with internal acquisition, creative, brand, and operations teams to ensure campaigns are executed on time, meeting their deadlines.
Monitor campaign and media channel performance, ensuring that campaign goals are met and providing post-campaign reports.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes and new technologies impacting digital marketing.
Identify areas of opportunity.
Demonstrate diligence, attention to detail and adherence to budgets.
Maintain and organize campaign-specific materials.
YOU HAVE
REQUIRED
The willingness to work on-site in our NYC office 3 days every week.
Digital media experience (this can include internships and co-ops) with a focus on paid media.
Hands-on experience building and managing digital paid media campaigns on platforms including, but not limited to, Google, Bing, Meta, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and/or Snapchat.
An interest in emerging media channels and opportunities.
The desire to help drive innovation for global brands.
A pro-active, self-starter mindset and excellent communication skills, with experience seeking out and building the necessary relationships to achieve success.
PREFERRED
A fundamental understanding of paid media channels and experience in their corresponding ad managers.
An understanding of media channel KPIs across Display/SEM/Social, campaign analysis, reporting, and how to ensure paid media campaigns adhere to budgets.
A passion for journalism, publishing, and/or financial news.
