Job Description:
The Associate, Live Journalism will be the internal product champion, accountable for increasing revenue across the Dow Jones portfolio of media brands. The position must support the members of the Live Journalism team with their deep product knowledge, identifying new growth opportunities. The role is also responsible for selling directly to clients, including senior business and senior agency decision makers.
Key Responsibilities:
Track competitor events and sponsors to generate a rolodex of new prospects
Manage sales materials coordination and development for media solutions and partnership propositions
Specialist team representative in all prospect outreach and vetting of new virtual platforms and creative vendors
Support conferences sell-in, working with sector specific client relationship managers
Organizes, captures and disseminates all virtual strategy meeting notes to larger virtual strategy task force
Liaise closely with internal product teams and add value to the RFP cycle, which includes idea generation
Playing a key role in helping us reach group revenue targets
Point person on group case studies and library of past executions
Ability to lead and help us grow conferences social efforts and presence
Point person to track the solutions executions of our competitors
Basic Qualifications
Minimum internship experience in sales, marketing, advertising or similar client facing environments
Demonstrated experience engaging with external clients/customers
Comfortable in all selling situations and in interfacing directly with senior decision making clients.
Keen awareness of social and social amplification options and vendors.
Quick study, a passionate team player with strong creative thinking and idea generation skills.
Comfortable selling to senior client decision makers, when needed
Proven ability to find new opportunities in existing and new clients
Comfortable working in a matrix organization, supporting other teams with your conferences specialist skills.
Understanding of conferences plus other digital, mobile and print products is a plus.
High level of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to take ownership of problems and coordinate appropriate internal resources to help solve problems effectively and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
One or more 1 years of experience managing media sales with hands-on experience of solution selling to business level decision makers
BA or BS degree
